Ingredients

  • 4-5 bread slices
  • 3-4 tablespoon oil/butter/ghee

For the omelette mixture:

  • 4 eggs
  • salt - to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder

Instructions

  • Firstly, in a bowl, beat the eggs and add into it.
  • Into it, add salt as per taste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder.
  • Stir the mixture well.
  • Heat the tawa/gridle and put it on low flame.
  • Over the gridle add oil/ghee/butter and heat it.
  • Add the omelette mixture and spread it well.
  • Take a bread slice and dip it on the omelette mixture and flip the bread and rest it on the omelette.
  • Doing this way coats the bread with omelette on both the sides.
  • Similarly, dip the other bread slices on the omelette and flip the bread and rest them on the omelet.
  • Cook the bread omelet perfectly on both the sides on medium flame.
  • Remove the bread omelette from the tawa and cut the bread slices diagonally.
  • Cut them and serve hot with ketchup!!!

Notes

  • Another way to make bread omelet is just dip the bread slices in egg omelette mixture, add little oil on the tawa and heat it, cook the dipped bread slices on tawa until they are perfectly done on both sides and serve by cutting them diagonally.
  • Additional ingredients like green chilies chopped, finely chopped onions and ginger garlic paste too can be added into the egg mixture...
