Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoon black tea leaves
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cups full cream milk
  • 2 cardamoms/elaichi
  • 1 tablespoon condensed milk
  • osmania biscuits or tea biscuits (to serve)

Instructions
 

  • add 2 cups of water to a sauce pan.
  • add 2 teaspoon black tea leaves.
  • add 1 teaspoon sugar.
  • Cover tightly with aluminium foil.
  • close the lid tightly.
  • Cook the chai concentrate for at least 20-25 minutes.
  • Strain the chai concentrate.
  • Take a sauce pan.
  • add 2 cups of full cream milk.
  • add 2 cardamoms/elaichi to the milk.
  • Bring the milk to a boil.
  • Keep stirring in between.
  • Let it simmer until milk reduces to half.
  • Add 1 tablespoon condensed milk or as per sweetness preferred.
  • Stir well for a minute.
  • Take 2 tea cups.
  • Pour the chai concentrate until half cup.
  • Pour the reduced milk over the chai concentrate.
  • Serve hot with biscuits.
