  • Add green chillies, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Add water gradually and mix the gram flour until there are no lumps formed.
  • Do not make the batter too thick or runny.
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • Cut the bread slices into triangle shape or rectangular in shape.
  • Dip each slice into the batter and coat it on all sides.
  • Drop the coated bread slices into the heated oil.
  • Fry the bread slices until they turn golden on all sides.
  • Remove them from the oil.
  • Serve them in an absorbent paper to extract excess oil.
  • Continue doing the same with the rest of the bread slices.
  • Serve them hot with tea or sauce or ketchup!!!

Notes

1.Always fry the pakodas on sim to medium flame. If they are fried on high flame the pakoda inside does not get cooked well.
2.One can add few more ingredients into the batter and they are cumin seeds, garam masala etc for more spicy taste.
3.Make sure the batter is not very thick nor too runny because the bread slices do not get coated well.
